The Greater Manchester 4-piece formed during the winter of 2019; channeling a stirring mix of chorus wave guitar sounds and stadium sized melodies. Originally starting out as an acoustic songwriting partnership between frontman Jack Marland and lead guitarist Adam Bridge, the group gradually morphed into its current incarnation with new members Michael Shenton and Joel Buckley joining on drums and bass respectively.
The band released their debut single Anymore in March 2021 to solid reviews, receiving notable praise from The Chameleons frontman Mark Burgess. Since the release of their debut single Anymore in March, the band have already harnessed a solid reputation for their poetic lyricism, razor-sharp sound and distinctive dark image; deriving heavily from the post-industrial environment in which they hail from deep in Oldham’s heartlands.
“There’s a real talent to this young band – in the poetic lyricism, in the anthemic sound destined for a much bigger stage. Mercy Kelly bring a new romantic charm all of their own” (RGM)
